No Shit!

Nothing can spoil your mood faster than stepping in a nice big pile of fresh dog shit with your favorite trainers on. So what can you do? Well, you can never leave the house or watch your step and check out the following project. Alejandro Lecuna, artist and graphic designer living in Berlin, has created "Berlin Ohne-Scheiss" which translates to "Berlin No-shit". The poster campaign uses design and interactive elements to call attention to the ever-present problem of dog crap on city streets. It works like this: When you see a pile, you tear off the bright red warning marker of your choice out of at sticker poster and then place it around the dog crap.
Check it out at www.lecu.de once there click on the "blurred" menu, then click on “Ohne Scheiss”.

Look! A Book!!

If you want to do more than read the writing on the wall, then we’ve got just the book for you. The author and graphic artist Tristan Manco has been documenting the stencil graffiti scene for 15 years. His book “Stencil Graffiti“ showcases the work of the originators, innovators and the new generation who as UK artist Nylon puts it “are breathing life into derelict spaces”. Inspirational in form and content, it is a must read for anyone with an interest in design or in contemporary urban culture.

Anything goes: Street Art

What is art? There is no right way to do it. No rules. No museums. Change your surroundings. Stencils, Stickers and Wheatpaste are some of the tools that young artists are using for this form of urban communication. Some see it as reclaiming the city, some as an open-air museum, some as a nuisance. One thing is sure: you don't need a museum to see good art. See a documentation at: http://www.graffitieuropa.org/streetart/index.htm

Finally live: thecmons.com!

Our own web site? Thought that might be a little bit too mainstream. But White - our drummer and resident tech freak - bugging us until we agreed. Blue did a few days worth of shooting in Barcelona for the visuals and him and White pulled a few allnighters to get the sounds recorded and the layout and programming set up. And now... it's finished and looks damn good. Welcome surfers and music fans, Hi Mum! and ... thanks White (You're still a tech geek!)
